Search journals (max 10)
Entry is punctuation-sensitive (e.g., ; , -) but not case-sensitive. You may enter each journal name and press return/enter or paste up to 10 names from any other document, with each entry in a separate line.

ABDC percentile ranges
The default percentile bands are quartiles (25/25/25/25). Two alternative bands are available in the pull-down menu; you can change them as desired in the box below.

Methodology
This note describes a method to establish ABDC equivalence for journals not listed in ABDC but listed in SCOPUS.
The process
- The ABDC journal list called the “Draft 2025 ABDC Journal Quality List” (2659 journals, listed in worksheet “ABDC”) is matched with the SCOPUS list 2023 (29,755 journals, listed in worksheet “SCOPUS”).
- About 1702 journals are common between the two lists. For these common journals, the three scores, namely CiteScore, SNIP, and SJR, are extracted (see worksheet “ABDC”).
- Four quartile ranges are created for three scores, as shown in the worksheet “ABDC_%tiles” and “SCOPUS_%tiles”. A comparison of both ranges is also shown (see worksheet “Percentile_SUMMARY”), though SCOPUS percentiles are not used in developing the equivalent ratings. Note that the default setting is quartiles, but the user can change the range of the four slices, e.g., as A* 100–90, 90–70, 70–40, 40–0 or 100–90, 90–60, 60–30, 30–0, etc.
- In the search box enter the journal name(s). Once the name(s) is entered, the search outputs the following ten values. Note that if a journal is not listed in ABDC then “na” is returned and if a journal is not listed in SCOPUS then “#N/A” is returned:
- Quick code (amalgamation of #2-4-7-9-10)
- ABDC rating
- CiteScore value
- ABDC equivalent (CiteScore)
- Top 10% CiteScore percentile
- SNIP value
- ABDC equivalent (SNIP)
- SJR value
- ABDC equivalent (SJR)
- SJR Quartile
- The correlation between CiteScore, SNIP, and SJR for SCOPUS is shown in tab “CORRELATIONS”.
